One line on this wine: Well farmed but classic Bordeaux from the estate next door to Chateau Mouton Rothschild, one of the world’s most expensive wines. 

What we like about it: This is the second wine of an iconic Fifth Growth Chateau. It comes from the Medoc power couple, the Lurton’s. It combines brilliant farming techniques with classic winemaking. Awesome Sunday lunch/big meal or celebration wine. 

Wine Notes: This is a complex but drinkable wine. Second wines of big chateaux offer early drinkability and a more accessible palate. We love the dark fruit and cassis notes and the medium body but rich palate. Perfect with beef, Ragu, classic French or British dishes as well as Smokey vegetarian alternatives.

Farming Notes: Pioneering organic and biodynamic methods on the Bordeaux left bank.
