Info: Chenas are ageworthy Beaujolais from the north of the region. They have a structure similar to Moulin a vent and Morgon. Great concentration of fruit and depth. Drinking well now, and will be for some years to come.
With stints working for Georges Descombes and Jean Foillard on his C.V. Anthony Thevenet's experience speaks for itself. In 2013 he inherited two hectares of vines from his grandfather and immediately began conversion to organic agriculture. Thevenet's vines are now scattered around the whole of Beaujolais but this wine from Chenas is a remarkable example of how structred and capable of ageing a Beajoulais can be.
